Update
It's probably time to update that journal, and push back the old tag one And the old one was getting too long on the front page.

Concerning art... I think I haven't draw something since a month ago. Nothing, nada... I juste don't feel like it. Something happenned a while back and since then, I haven't been in any creative mood. I used to write too.
I don't draw or write anymore.
I don't even play video games. I have this one I want to finish and I just don't feel like it. Dragon Age : Orign was realeased and I didn't bought it yet.

It's pretty strange... I hope I'll get over it soon anyway.

I'll probably update my gallery with some old work. I still have some 100 theme challenge pic I need to scan and post.


Anyway, out of that ! I finally started it : Torchwood S3 : Children of Earth !
It started in France yesterday night. Only the two first episode.
It's been a while that I waited for it. I tried to avoid as much spoiler as I could but sometimes on the web, you find it in someplace you would have thought it'll appear...
Well anyway, those two first episode were awesome ! And I'm eager to see the rest, next thrusday

I don't when the next Doctor Who will arrive in France. I'll miss Donna so much... and the 10th. Just hope the 11th will be good too. I didn't saw who it'll be, juste there will be one. I hope not the be spoil and DW like I was on Torchwood

Mon pire cauchemar...
Y'avait la fois où j'étais poursuivie par des Milm zombie... Je me suis réveillée en hurlant !
Heureusement, Umi était là pour me faire comprendre que c'était qu'un rêve.
En plus c'était bête ! Dans mon cauchemar, les Milm étaient restées herbivores alors ils zombifaient l'herbe autour d'eux en la mordant.
Bizarre...

17. Quelle est la vie dont tu rêves?
Rembourser toutes les dettes que je dois au Boss, avoir une chouette résidence sur une planète verte, faire des missions de chasse à l'homme de temps en temps...

J'en profiterais !

Dans la station, y'a des chouettes endroits pour admirer les étoiles.

Bah, je travaille pour rembourser mes dettes, la plupart du temps sur des missions confié par le Boss. C'est surtout des pauvres types que je dois ramener au Boss.
Ou des paquets à délivrer. Ou des personnes à escorter.
Sinon, y'a l'orphelinat du coin. J'y passe de temps en temps pour voir comment vont les gamins.
Et je surveille Umi, pour éviter qu'elle n'aille encore se mettre dans un sale pétrin.

After thinking about it for a while and thought I'd never make, I decided to just give it a try. Anyway, there isn't any delay of it
There are lot of different list I see around the web and decided to take to one here [link] as it's the one that I saw the most often anyway.

Well, they are rules that apply to this challenge and I think everyone knows about them anyway but here they are for those who discover this challenge.

I won't color them. They will all be inked work. It's easier for me to work trad anyway as I prefer inking on paper than with my tablet. I don't seem to get accustume to inking on PC or maybe I'm doing it wrong but I never enjoy it unless it's for simple chibi And as they are all on paper, I don't risk having scanning, photoshop or OS problems
This challenge is mostly made so I can work on my scene skills and my inking skills. And also to draw more of Gaïna's universe pic
I love the work Eiichiro Oda on all his chapter page and it really inspired me for this challenge.

100 Questions for an Artist

01. What is your pen name?
GainaSpirit or Gaina.

02. What made you choose this name?
Just because of my original character Gaïna which I was really proud of. Most people on the web took name of character they liked, well I liked my own character.

03. Do you use PC or Mac?
PC.

04. What programs do you use most often?
Flex Builder 3, Photoshop Element 2, Word, FireFox.

05. Do you use mouse, or tablet?
My intuos tablet for drawing. The mouse for the rest or when I used to go on oekaki board.

06. What color or color combinations do you find yourself using most often?
I mostly use red as it give some great feeling. Mostly combined with orange or purple. The second would be blue and white.

07. What part of a picture do you put most effort into?
Hum, probably the hair when I'm coloring as it's the only place where I use more than four colors. As for the rest, the face.

08. How long does it take you do draw a picture?
wow, hum... Skecth is pretty fast most of the time. The rest depends on my mood, the complexity and effort I want to put, the coloring style I want to acheive so... around 3 to 10 hours ?

09. Do you keep your rough drafts?
Always ! Even the ugly one. I like keeping an eyes on my progress and idea I manage to get, even crappy as they are sometimes.

10. What font do you use most often?
Arial, Time New Roman...

11. When you scan your image, what DPI do you use?
300dpi.

12. Do you do anything else when you're drawing?
I listen to music most of the time. I prefer than silence.

13. Approximately how many pictures do you draw in a month?
I don't know. There was a time wehn I'll draw five pictures a month, plus a comic page. Now... it's more two pictures and a comic page inking.

14. What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
Normal printer paper. A4.

15. What kind of paper do you use for rough sketches and drafts?
Normal printer paper or whatever I have in hand.

16. How long does it take you to ink something?
Haf an hour for trad. One hour on computer

17. Do you do comics, or fan comics?
Not really...

18. Do you like comics? Are they fun to make?
Yes. They are long to make and more difficult than individual drawing with more style. I like doing the rough of it the best.

Nope.

Naoko Takeuchi, CLAMP, Yukito Kishiro, Victoria Frances, Joe Maduriera, Aurore...

Always manga above anime. Currently I'm following One Piece, EyeShield, Neuro, Skip Beat, Full Metal Alchemist, Sillage, Sky Doll.
As for anime or cartoons, only Avatar came in mind...

Not really. Probably Yukito Kishiro.

Not a lot. I'm really picky on books. Mostly fantasy things.

All those people that insults me for no reasons. The thieves that think they are doing the right thing by taking my art and insult me back when I ask to remove it.

It was probably abstract art

Since I was three ? I hope so !

Yes. Lots of time but most of them resulted in my art taking a big step forward.

I like writing and I first started drawing to give representation of my characters. Out of that, I liked drawing them and started drawing even more.

No. But I began to start dreaming of being one day pro with my art level and seing that I was getting in computer science to please my parents.
